Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good...
I just finished watching this movie on watch-movies.net and I have to say that I was kind of surprised by the amount of things that they did or added to it to make it feel like a live action film. I liked those shots of the hovering ship in the sky (reminded me of the thing from Sky Captain), the music was good, but sounded too cartoonish, which I think somewhat fit the whole of this movie; the sets were pretty good, and the special effects were pretty good too for its time and for a TV-made film. The story, at least I thought was pretty good too. That aside, I will admit that the Hoff had some pretty cheesy lines along with a few other key characters. A couple things that did bug me were some of the sound effects that did not match to what went on. Example, was when Viper fired her gun, there was no smoke or bullet to leave the barrell of the gun. The acting was pretty bad, especially from Viper (could not for the life of me help but cringe whenever she tried to speak with a fake German accent; it was horrifying), and also that new recruit guy; the one that sounded like a pussy and thought that he could take on that one soldier but failed miserably, that one. The Hoff did remind me a lot like Snake Plissken from the Escape series, but his one liners were far from hilarious. They were more as 'meh' or just there to add to the character I suppose.
Now I have never read any of the comics based on Nick Fury, as I only know from this movie and also from Iron Man (which was very little), so if anyone could help me out at how faithful was this film to the comic books and character, then that would be great. Also; I couldn't help but think that I was watching some sort of sequel, which I know it wasn't because I checked, and at the end of the film, it hinted to a possible sequel, which obviously was never made. Thanks:)
How about a shave? I can guarantee the closest shave you'll ever know.
