soo wait , did i miss anything?

I feel like i missed a part of the movie, why are the humans treating the main guy like a friend?

He infiltrated their camp , showed them he was a demon, protected their worst enemy, and hurt their lady.

Why is he welcomed with open arms during the scene with the mass grave, they'd treat him like a lost friend, i'd think they be more carefull.

Did i miss anything?

Because they know that he does not want to threat the village.

Ashitaka could have -easily- murdered Lady Eboshi (this is obvious considering that he has killed other people before) during the fight with San, as well as everyone around him, and they are aware of that, but he spared her life and made sure that she would be alright by asking other people to grab her. He also KOd San before leaving, so he did not give favoritism to her. He was being gentle all the time. It is not like he did nothing to gain their trust. Like, aside from what was mentioned, he helped some men from the village to get back safely.

He never infiltrated their camp. He's also no demon, he got a curse that slowly kills him from inside.
He protected the lady as well at some point. And he saved two of their abandoned men.
He was bold and followed his own agenda but he explained his reasons and didn't show enough hostility towards them. Actually he showed his anger only to the lady when they were in that weapon shack with the sick ppl. The others wouldn't even know about this.

When you've been buried alive under the corpses of giant bore, I'd imagine any human willing to help becomes a friend.

Ashitaka showed very little hostility to anyone. They probably could tell they had no reason to fear.
