ANYONE KNOW HOW THIS FILM WAS ORIGINALLY SCRIPTED TO END?
I heard there was an original ending that the Weinsteins refused to be shot....

shareI wouldn't be surprised if there was. This movie sucked serious ass. Noway is this movie Guillermo del Toro's vision. Thank goodness nowadays directors actually have the balls to say no to dumbass producers.
You're the man now, dog -Sean Connery
You can read it at least:

Always remember to wear a helmet when caving, and carry three light sources
I think the lady doctor and the kid escape into Grand Central Station where they see that the Judas bugs have infiltrated the station and can be seen almost everywhere with people not noticing them.
shareAccording to del Toro on the Blu-ray...the ending he wanted (but the studio hated)...
The male Mimic walks toward Mira Sorvino's character, and goes into camouflage form, which is revealed to be a perfect mimic of a naked human male, points at her and says "Leave." or something to that effect. Driving home the concept that humanity is destined to be wiped out and replaced by this new species.

Sounds epic and what the director wanted, but ultimately also like it "jumped the shark". New species or not some 'Judas bug' in human form being everywhere after they escape the station in New York doesn't mean they'd win anything. Sounds like it more like the horror of whats to come might've been explored in a sequel follow up film had The Mimic made alot more money and been a much bigger success at the box office.
Thats what the studio think was anyways. Its still a great film regardless of what or how they thought about whatevers regarding Guillermo del Toro's vision for the movie!

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone would mistake the Judas' for human being that they were monstrous looking. It worked when they were far away, once you got close and realized what they were it was too late. But walking around during rush hour in Grand Central station? I mean New Yorkers are busy, but come on!
