I remember this got two thumbs up from Siskel and Ebert, wo I saw it. I thought it was horrible - implausible and uninteresting.

True story - I NEVER watched Siskel and Ebert again after this. I like Mira Sorvina, et al, but this movie was not good.

Good call - if you don't agree with a movie reviewer one time, you should never listen to their opinions ever again. People should agree with each other all the time or you shouldn't bother listening to them.

Exactly. I had tried to watch movies they recommended (when I could find them), and ended up shutting them off. I'll admit Mira Sorvino was the reason I went to see this crap, and the only memory I have of it was the ticket seller saying "Are you 17?" I was I'm 25, lady. I have no plans to watch it again to try to make sense of it.
