I also find this movie quite underrated. It's sharp and witty and doesn't really get stupid.
I am glad to see I am not the only one who thought this as well.
To see Eddie actually playing a straight, melodramatic role was quite refreshing. Plus, the supporting actors did quite well too. Michael Wincott really put his "bad guy" persona to good use and Michael Rappaport seems to have a niche with being the up-n-coming, hot shot, character-type.
All-in-all, I thought this was one of the most "slept-on" of Eddie Murphy movies.

Definately agree its underrated. For me this is the last decent Murphy flick (Shrek doesn't count.) It's the standard action fair but Murphy and Michael Wincott make it entertaining, at least compared to a lot of the other action flicks out there.

It was on one of the premium channels yesterday, I think Encore Action, and I only watched it for Micheal Wincott, cause he's the bomb, Top Dollar all the way (Crow reference to those not in the know).
