Very underappreciated movie.

And easily one of the best movies that Eddie ever did. UP there with Coming to America, B.H.C I.

It's also the last thing I expected to see from Eddie. When I first heard about Metro my first thought was "Another Beverly Hills Cop". Not a bad thing, mind you, but this movie was a 100% departure from most everything he's ever done.

He did a very serious role, and did it very well. All along I was thining that there had to be at least some comedy. There wasn't any, aside from the bit at the end.

There was very serious tension, especially in his girlfriends apartment. You're sitting on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.

Great movie, very highly recommended.

I love BHCI. However, I agree that Eddie shined. It was a far darker gritier tone that most cop movies. A few light moments, but absolutely no comedy at all.

I agree, I consider this to be the last decent Murphy film. Wincott was really good as the villain as well. The cable car chase and final showdown were my favourite scenes.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

What is wrong with you people? They should call this movie Action Cliche because that's all it is. So what if Eddie played it straight? Good for him; the movie's still stupid as hell.

I watched this the other day and I was actually very good, to be honest I think I am probably comparing it to the kiddie stuff that he did afterwards, but this film kinda stands out as it was one of the last films he did that wasnt for a family audience.

One of his best movies, or not, I just watched it for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The actress who played Veronica is beautiful (loved her accent, especially when Eddie was teaching her to say "nekked in Tahiti") and they made a cute couple. Anyway, I enjoyed it.
