I can only assume you misunderstand the meaning of the word pretentious. You put the disc in the player and turn off your brain for two hours. This is the complete opposite of pretentious.
I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!
Haha... no. Not a good excuse when quote unquote heroes who are supposed to be promoting a green message are actually the cause for all the death and mayhem.

This movie is effin horsesh!t. Jurassic Park III is bad but better than this. Jurassic World is nearly as stupid as this, but at least it's entertaining.
Pretentious is pretty much exactly what this movie is... besides crap.

I take the Lost World over the horrible Jurassic Park 3 and the only ok Jurassic World anyday.

Jurassic World beats both II and III by a couple miles.
Please explain how and why you think that was a good film. I am truly intrigued. I barely made it through one viewing in the theater and thats because I don't walk out on films.
I'm told that Jurassic Park III is the worst of the bunch. If so, I'll have to skip it and go straight to Jurassic World.
No, Jurassic Park III is actually a significant improvement over The Lost World. No more ridiculous scenes of a T-rex rampaging through a city or holding a t-rex baby hostage, lol. III feels more closer to the original.
Also the scenes in III with the Pterodactylus birds are awesome and shouldn't be missed.

I completely agree, as sad as that is. JP III was the best sequel.

Thank you, yes!!
JPIII gets flak because it's not Spielberg, and some people even complain about Tea Leoni. But it benefits from having a linear plot; the second film, and even the first one to some extent, are instead a series of contrivances to justify extensive set-pieces -- and those set-pieces are pretty darned impressive, largely because that's Spielberg's major skill, but beyond sheer spectacle ... well, it's fun and all, but in the end it doesn't make up for the lack of a cohesive story.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Jurassic Park 3 gets flak cause its a terrible film.
Terrible why? Not enough cool looking G.I. Joe vehicles? No t-rex rampaging through a city? No token black girl to add to the diversity?
The fact that The Lost World was directed by Spielberg makes it like ten times worse. If it had been directed by a far less well-known director then its many shortcomings would be understandable.
Spare the whole "Because it's Spielberg" crap cause it's B.S and you know it.
The sequel was definitely a poop stain on Spielberg's film career. Still watchable, but too many cringey moments compared to the other JP films.

Let's see, script, story, acting, the score. The fact that it contridicts the first two movies.Anything else?

You mean like the talking raptor on a airplane, a dumb down Alan Grant, a phone ringing from inside the belly of a huge dinosaur and jungle boy with his annoying parents from Jurassic Park 3. Yea, I take The Lost World over that. As for your problem with the token black girl. It was established to be a child of a main character but of course if you have racist hand ups over a black child having a white parent, then that's a different conversation altogether.
The fact that The Lost World was directed by Spielberg makes it like ten times worse.
Spielberg at is worse is still ten times better than what was in Jurassic Park 3.
The sequel was definitely a poop stain on Spielberg's film career.
And yet the film is still better than Jurassic Park 3. Go figure.

I'll take those JP3 missteps over The Lost World's numerous inanities any day.
The gymnastics scene The snake scare scene The cheeseburger jokes The inexplicable ship massacre The T-Rex cargo hold release
And that list is by no means exhaustive.

It really annoys me when people come onto a board to whine and complain about a celebrity or a movie or whatever. I just don't get why you'd waste your time to come here to do just that. You didn't like the movie? Who the hell cares? In my honest opinion it was alright. I definitely didn't like the 3rd one, mostly because I couldn't stand Tea Leonie, but that's beside the point. I just think that your post is waste of my time.
To be honest this one is as bad as the really bad parts of 3. I wouldn't turn my hand over for the difference. I think this one gets less of a bad rap merely because Spielberg directed it. This movie is terrible and yes, I saw it in the theater and thought it sucked then too.
