Rank's last film?

I heard once this was the last film released by rank. Is this the case?

That is quite possible. AFIAK Rank sold off their film distribution business, as well as their back catalogue, to Carlton in 1997.

Yes it was the last Rank Movie, and the last time Ken Richmond (who has just recently passed away) was seen banging that famous gong.
