where was it set?

where was this supposed to be set (in the movie, fictionally)? texas? or someehere else..? i don't remember..

The movie takes place outside of Louisville, Kentucky.

If you watch it again, you'll notice notice Trent was wearing a 'Louisville' cap in several scenes. The accents were pretty typical of Kentucky, as well.
