How did Kull escape the ice cave?

So he floods the cave with icy water, swims through a hole with a heavy axe and somehow gets back to the ships with no sails but makes it home with no crew only a few minutes after the other ship?

yeah .. right.

That's one reason this movie is nothing but a long, painful trainwreck. There are too many other reasons to list here.

Well, presumably Kull is a movie addict who's seen tons of films where people trapped in caves notice a tiny trickle of water, deduce the existence of a flooded passway from it and boldly take this way out swimming to the surface...

Of course, your beef with the... realistic touch of this movie is a very legitimate one. And since you're at it: why don't you pop over to the LotR-site? You might want to point out there that trees don't walk, dragons don't exist and whatever else might have escaped the perspicacity of the rest of us, less alert viewers...

Your criticism is stupid. As long as the internal movie logic is intact, you can have as many magical and imaginative scenes as you want as long as you can explain it. If Frodo and Sam suddenly grew ten feet and started killing orcs all the way to Mordor it would be inconsistent with their previously established traits of being short weaklings. The Ice Isle in Kull was established to be a far distance away and Kull's ship wrecked or damaged with no crew. It doesn't have to be realistic, only explainable by the plot/setting. This was not.

roman8's main goal in life is to confound others with his asinine "logic".

"When we make mistakes, it's evil. When God makes mistakes, it's nature."
