Line from The Empire Strikes Back
Did anybody think it was hilariously awful that in this movie, Tia quotes a Vader line from Empire?

Check under the trivia for the movie, the words "the deal" have been changed to "our bargain," but otherwise, two sentences word for word from Empire Strikes back. This happens right after Kull rescues Zereta from being executed and they escape with her brother through the temple, and Akivasha walks into the temple to see what happened.

Wow. Been along time since this thread was started. Anyway, I actually logged on to see if anyone had mentioned this before. I remember seeing it for the first time, as if in slow motion. I just could not believe that same line was rolling outta her mouth.

LOL I just watched this movie for the first time earlier tonight with my dad... We were watching and such and it wasn't very exciting or anything, I mean I've seen worse movies, I was a little bored by this point in the movie but not to the point of shutting it off or anything... Anyways, I was sifting through some halloween candy picking out the stuff I didn't want (not really paying much attention to the movie at this point) and then I heard her speak those words, the line from Star Wars, I immediately looked up and did a double-take, like "did she really just say what I think she just said??". Had me busted up laughing for like 5 minutes straight, seriously, I got such a kick out of it. Made the entire movie worth it to me, talk about SHAMELESS. =D So funny.
shareIt's really depressing that a film based on a character that first appeared in 1928 would rip off a particularly famous line from a film made more than 50 years later.
shareYet nobody acknowledged the similarity between the "he's my brother" - "your brother?"-dialogues in Kull and Return of the Jedi? It happens moments before, literally.

Oh... my... GOD! I'm GORGEOUS!!!
... but uplifting that a not-so-great movie made in 1997 is still so heavily debated in 2010. ;) I'd call that a directorial success!
shareHilariously awful? No, just cringeworthy.
A Superman without trunks isn't worth watching or reading about.
Right before that, as they fought through the temple, I was thinking, "You know, this isn't a 'good' movie, but it's fun and doesn't take itself seriously. This is OK!"
Then she said that line and ruined it.
