i was questioning it all the through out the movie, even though it had nothing to do with the film. i mean, why a gay bar? i know uve probly all heard this b4 and what-not. but he was dressed too nice for most of the film to be all the way straight!

He did it for a pass to park near his final mission. They guy had it in his car then a pad when he got back into Washington. A hotel near this sorta job would be no good. Hope that helps clear that up he is smart if you have seen the extra stuff they had a women he did the same thing cant recall the reasoning on that the though to he is a pro does what he has to do his job

Gay guys are probably easier to manipulate. He probably spent a while in teh gay bar looking for the perfect easily manipulated guy which he could call upon and get a house. Perhaps it wouldn't have worked as well if it was a woman. They have probably had it up with guys who take that long to call and expect a 1 night stand. They'd want to get to know him more etc. These are all generalisations but i'd think it'd be easier to manipulate a gay guy than a straight woman.
They also demonstrate his dedication to his job and his skills as an actor.
