What Did He Spray On the Lock?

What did he spray on the lock to kill that guy in the garage? Some kind of nerve agent, maybe? He put on gloves just to spray it on. When the guy grabs it later, he acts like it burns, starts convulsing and drooling, then falls down dead. Any ideas what he could have used on the lock?

Michael Caton-Jones mentioned on the commentary that it is shelfish toxin.

Thanks. I rented the DVD, but it only had DTS and stereo audio. No commentary.

Shellfish toxin ? I read something about research scientists were doing on a toxin released by something called the conefish? I think its a shell fish ?Anyhow the " toxin " in this marine creature has the capability it is hoped to act as a pain reliever 1000 times more effective than morphine with no addictive side qualities ? A bit unrelated to the movie but an interesting factoid nonetheless ?

Pain free sounds like an addictive quality for people who are always in pain.
