Lamont might have lived if he hadn't exorted more money for the plans


Considering the Jackal didn't murder everyone who helped him (for example the passport forger in London), he might've let Lamont go if he just stuck to the original 40Gs and gave him the specs as agreed. The Jackal didn't look like a guy to cross anyway - I guess that's what Lamont gets for being uppity.

Except he killed the passport guy, who asked for more money, and left the weapons guy alone who played it straight.
