I live in the same town...

...where they filmed this movie and walk around the same places and eat at the same places as the characters do in this movie! I just saw it and was floored by seeing my hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana all over the place, go Kekionga!

So you eat at Arby's then?

reply

nope, but there are alot of them around. It isn't quite as bad as they made it out in the movie, they didn't really show the nightlife around here which can be more fun than just the commercial downtown area during the day.

I was channel surfing late one night and came across this movie. It was a little to talky for me and I was about to change the channel when something caught my eye. The two main characters were outside talking and and there was this hidious green building in the background. I thought to myself that there couldn't be two buildings (Summit Square) this ugly in the world, but would someone actually shoot a movie in Ft. Wayne. So, I watched the rest of the movie not caring at all about the plot but checking out the landmarks. I am a native Hoosier and although I'm not originally form Ft. Wayne I did spend one really great year as an adult living there. (unfortunately I lived there six years) And can tell you from experience this was the perfect location to shoot this movie.

There have been quite a few movies, mostly small indies, shot around town, they are trying to make it more marketable to the outside world. It makes sense, it is a medium size city, with some cool stuff around, some cool history, so the city is giving tax breaks and such to companies to film them in Fort Wayne.
