Absoltely correct. Chad got want he wanted and is not even bothered by what he did to Christine or Howard. He has a fancy home, his promotion and more money.
Christine moved on with her life and it appears that she's working in a bank or something but she has definitely moved up the career ladder and apparently doing well. Good for her!
Howard is a wreck over getting demoted and over what he did to Christine. He is still blind to the fact that it was Chad who ruined his job at the company. His life is a mess at the end and there is not telling when he will get it back in order.

I don't think she moved up the "career ladder", she was a temp, thats all. She simply got assigned to another office to do clerical work, thats why she was working at the bank at the end.
