I need some help and I need it FAST!!!!!

Part of my presentation on homosexuality for my human sexuality course includes showing a 5 minute clip from this movie and tie it in with my presentation. Which scene should I show in my class? I need something that, even though it might be comical, has some real deep meaning underneath.

Show the scene after the wedding where Howard's Dad coems to visit him with some wedding cake. It's not a very comical scene but shows people's difficulties in comng to terms with toher people's sexuality- i.e. the Dad thinks that now Howard's gay he'll be going into showbusiness, and jokes about Streisand.

Or, for the more comical one show the meeting between Howard and Peter and the intersection- shows people's reluctance to 'come out' (lowering your voice, switching pronouns etc) but is funny as hell!!!

I would also go with the scene between Howard and his dad (Wilford Brimley).

I think you should put the part when everyone first thinks Howard (Kline) is gay and he is threatened by his boss to be fired. That has meaning cuz it shows how homosexuality is still discriminated.

I think you're right and I amend my previous post. That first meeting Howard has with Bob Newhart after the Oscar telecast is very telling about the homophobia that still runs rampant in this day and age.
