Other actors nominated with Cameron--hilarious!!! !

Did anyone catch the crazy nominations?? It totally cracked me up!
"This is Cameron's first nomination and he's in extremely good company. Tonight he joins fellow best actor nominee Paul Newman for "Coot", Clint Eastwood for "Codger", Michael Douglas for "Primary Urges" and Steven Seagal for "Snowball in Hell". OMG that was hilarious! And Glenn Close said them with such serious aplomb!

As a side note, my husband, who is Peruvian and speaks VERY good English, didn't get those first two, but when I explained what a 'coot' and 'codger' was, he thought is was great! Here's this young guy Cameron, and these two venerable, ahem, mature actors in movies called Coot and Codger--Hah! Fantastic!!!

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

"and Steven Seagal for "Snowball in Hell""

I wonder if Steven Segal saw this scene and what he thinks of this insult! :-)

I have to admit that I had to look up the two "c" words.

Paul Newman is in Coot - a harmless simple person as in the sentence "Don't mind him- he's just a crazy old coot."

Clint Eastwood is in Codger - used affectionately to refer to an eccentric but amusing old man.

Michael Douglas is in Primary Urges, which sounds like a sequel to Basic Instinct. I especially like that Glenn Close threw a kiss to her Fatal Attraction co-star after reading his nomination.

The best of course is a not-so-subtle jab at Steven Seagal's snowball's chance in hell as an Oscar contender.

Priceless!
