Both this film and the movie Addams Family Values were written by Paul Rudnick. Both movies also star Joan Cusack. Cusack played the villain Debbie Jellinsky in Addams Family Values. Also, both of these movies' scores were by Marc Shaiman. Is that a coincidence or had the studios planned to make both movies esentially done by the same people?
shareIt happens all the time in Hollywood to have people work together on the same projects. Given how chaotic and unpredictable the film-making process is, having an element of certainty via "this guy is cool and reliable and is creative to boot so cast him" is nice to have to the studios. You usually see it with the director-actor or director-writer work relationship but it can work in other areas.
