Not sure why I've never seen these as a fan of the movie. I wish they kept all those Barry scenes, especially the first one with Ray. They give us a little more character background and makes them look more sympathetic as well.

Now which one is Barry?? Is that Ryan Philippe's character because if so, he doesn't need to be sympathetic. He's perfectly written the way he is and that's the sole reason I bought this on Blu Ray was because of his wise ass humor and that scene going around West Coast Highway when he's drunk and obnoxious. I laughed for quite a bit watching him

He was absolutely hilarious as a jerk ("You two should check out a mirror sometime. You look like shit run over twice."), but these scenes make him look more like real person and explain some things that are only slightly hinted at. You also see that there's a real friendship between them. I think the movie actually does a good job giving the girls character development, but these scenes would've done the same for the boys, even giving Ray some more depth.
