The very last shot before the credits

I'm talking about the very last panoramic shot which starts at ground level, and then comes up over the hills showing Tom on his horse on the hill with the Annie driving away on the road.

Ok, that's about the most breathtaking shot I have ever seen in a film. For real. I'm still trying to figure out how that was accomplished. I guess it was either a gigantic crane or a helicopter...?

It is a nice shot. It was taken from a helicopter. If you watch it again, you can see the rotor wash on the dry prairie grass starting on the left side of the hill below the horse, and moving up and to the right as he turns to ride off.

yes, it's a great shot, but i though the opening shot from The Sound of Music was even better.
