Does this take place on Christmas?
The Christmas holiday does not seem to get brought up in this movie like the other films in the series. Does this take place in December or January?

which is why this film suck. set it on christmas and it become much better.
It’s interesting that John Hughes would knowingly choose to set the movie after Christmas while the previous films which he wrote and produced were set on Christmas.
shareyes. they did not set at christmas probably just to be different from first two home alones.
and maybe because kid is home sick from school so plot does not work during christmas eve? still just set film week before christmas and work just same.
