In actual Greek mythology, Hercules was a demigod, and his parents were Zeus and Alcmene. In this movie, Hercules was the son of Zeus and Hera. Greek mythology states that Zeus and Hera are brother and sister

Hercules was also the product of rape. (Zeus onto Alcmene)

And alcmene was a granddaughter of Perseus, another son of Zeus.
