Greek Mythology

I caught this movie earlier having not seen it in a long time and whilst i don't think it is one of Disney's best i found it to be a relatively enjoyable film. I read in the Trivia section about the changes which were made to the film in order to separate them from the brutal nature of the actual Greek tales. I would like to read the original legends though and was wondering if anyone knows which books are the best to read as a starting point to these myths. I have a copy of Ovid's Metamorphoses as well as The Odyssey but was wondering if there any others to check out. Any help is appreciated.

Honestly, I know it sounds childish, but the book "Percy Jackson's Greek Gods" by Rick Riordan is an incredible place to start learning about Greek mythology.

Bulfinch' s Mythology is a great and detailed reference, historically accurate, and containing color photos of related artifacts, artwork, etc. I've had my copy for 30 years... I hope it's still in print....

For ancient sources, also Hesiod' s Theology, which is the first recorded description of the Greek gods origins.
