This movie was a real disappointment. THe very few gambling scenes make no sense. Hard eight is a terrible bet and not even a suicidal drunken gambler would bet it. Ditto - keno. Sydney acts like his every speech is a pronouncement - he is so 'wise.'

This was truly, truly boring and I quit about 60 long minutes into it.

it's not really supposed to be an actual gambling movie, centered around craps, poker, blackjack, etc. if you watched the entire movie you might have had a different opinion about it. the ending is really great, and although not the best PTA film, it's an interesting one.
