She always is ... in every movie, she's one of my favorite actresses.
shareI think this is one of the only movies where I've thought she's sexy. I don't know if it's the character of Estella, or her, but yeah...usually she doesn't seem as beautiful as she was in this movie for some odd reason.

both a good performance by Gwyneth, and a great showcase of her babe-alicious-ness.
In a funny way, the way she acts right at the end, when she says "Things have been different... for me..." and she suddenly seems so human, really emphasizes (by contrast) how heinous she was for most of the movie... Every interview, etc I have ever seen with Gwyneth leads me to think that her b1tchiness for the first 90% of the movie was ACTING. She seems so nice in person.
Having said that, I should probably confess that I once BOUGHT the video cassette of this movie, in about 1999, purely because of her picture on the cover. What a babe.
Gwyneth is absolutely perfect for Estella. I don't know why so many people loathe her. I think she's terrific.
