Meaning of the Pisces plate?

About 15 minutes into the movie, the kid moves a bush with his foot to reveal a stone plate of two fishes crossing each other with the written symbol for Pisces. What's up with that?

According to astrology, the 2 opposing fish symbolize being 'pulled in different directions'. You are free to interpret that any way you like.
