Good Movie

I love this movie, there's suspense, action & a decent plot. I don't understand why it didn't do better in the movies. And then there's Dennis Quaid (too bad we really don't get to see that sexy smile of his much in this film) who I think is the most attractive man in Hollywood, he's so hot & is very good at playing the concerned father types & also Jared Leto who I guess was still kinda unkown when this movie came out but is so cute, and the scenery was gorgeous. Well anyway, I own the dvd so I watch it over & over & enjoy it every time=)

I had never seen this movie till it came on TNT this evening and being that it sounded really good from the summary I had to watch it and loved it. Had never even heard of it either till now..but all the actors in it made it good..with some awesome scenery.

Okay, it wasn't perfect. But it's still good.
When I saw it in the theater I wasn't looking for the killer badly enough to catch all the little points that most other people found so obvious. So, it took me a while to figure him out. I'm just thankful the writting and acting wasn't so obvious as to give it all away immediately. A good whodunnit is supposed to be like that.
Some of you will probably flame me for this, but it's just my opinion so I don't care. Out of everything I've seen him in I like to think of this movie when I think of R. Lee's top performances. He wasn't yelling orders, degrading jarheads, or cursing up a blue streak. He played a man with emotion and morals. I salute your talents, SIR.
Oh yeah, Dennis Quaid was good in it too. And it was also good seeing Danny Glover on the opposite side of the law for a change.

Its a planet-destroying superlaser. How well does it need to be calibrated? 

Agreed, Tyler. I also thnk it's one of R. Lee's best roles, hate him yelling in "Snail Mail Call"...Great locations and scenery. Makes me want to take a trip to SE Colo...but not in winter!

Hey folks,

Add me to the list of folks who liked this film. I don't know what a perfect film is, and it really would not be in my top ten lifetime films, but it was a film I really liked and would recommend it to others. It also had several actors I really enjoy seeing, and as mentioned above, it was one of R. Lee Ermey's best roles. It really seemed more of an ensemble film rather than just one or two stars getting all the show. Kudos to all of them.

Best wishes,
Dave Wile
