"The place will be crawling with Hoovers"
This movie is in my top 20 for sure.
But one thing that always bothers me:
When the murder investigation is underway, they vacuum every square inch of the place. It appears to be standard procedure, how everyone just expects it and there's dialog to indicate that, "okay this is just what everyone knows happens during a crime scene in our society."
But the ONLY reason to vacuum and test every human piece left behind is to find someone that doesn't belong.
So when Anton and the other detective are discussing suspects.... why would they talk about "borrowed ladders" as if this is such a crazy, wild, farfetched concept? It's the other detective's theory, but even his attitude towards it is "I guess anything is possible, I suppose, maybe". Anton just about dismisses it right then and there. If this is so crazy and ridiculous that you wouldn't even consider it.... what did you think you were doing when you were running and testing all the vacuums?
