This movie is amazing. Made in 1997 before the Internet was huge and people were still on CompuServe. And yet look at what it predicted which are real things in 2016:
-SpaceX and the possibility of reaching Mars
-Tesla, electric cars shown in the movie
- Solar City, huge solar valleys shown in the movie
- 23andMe and genetic testing
This movie is like one of those Arthur C Clarke or Asimov books that predicted the future !!!

shareIt wasn't the first book emthat ever mentioned these things. But it's so realistic for a 1997 movie in how it shows electric cars (Tesla), realistic next gen space exploration (SpaceX), the solar panel collection fields (Solar City). It's almost like Elon Musk saw this movie as a grad student, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of his favorite movies. Also all the genetic testing and 23andMe companies out there too

People are really suckered by the scam artist's BS. Electric cars are a 19th century invention and SpaceX has absolutely nothing that can reach Mars. They have a orbital launch vehicle around the scale of one of the shuttle's boosters. That's been done for 50 years.
