Amazing film just lovely
This is a great science fiction film.
shareThis flick has only a pinch of sci-fi. Perhaps not even that. It seems like it was produced for sentimental schmucks and bleeding hearts who would never lay their hands on hard sci-fi. It must have made some traditionalist nutcases blame themselves for even dipping their toes in that sort of stuff, I'm sure of that. But perhaps some sci-fi-curious folks decided to dig in deeper, so at least there's that.
This film approaches the idea of "aiming for the stars" literally, in a very flimsy manner which can impress those who have already surveyed, metaphysically or otherwise, the bleak reality of strife in a corporate system that sustains a consumer society. Except it doesn't do a half-decent job at creating a good dystopian world that would expand on that objectively, yet alone create such an organization that would at least have some conviction of success, which is supposed to be a major aspect of this movie, seeing how it's even the title of it.
It's ridden with plotholes and ridiculous character behavior. It has some of the least believable characters I've ever seen.
I wouldn't call it great without calling it a great anti-sci-fi/anti-dystopia film and propaganda.

I barely have any 1 or 10 ratings and I bothered to type more than a couple of sentences to explain my dislike for this extremely simple movie (which I still gave a 5), and yet you still managed to come up with this dumbfoundingly stupid assumption?
I'm sorry that you have a conscience of a 5 year old.
