Would Vincent be sent to jail upon returning to Earth?

He can't keep up the charade forever. His success has undermined everything this society stands for, that genome=everything. Would the authorities make an example of him, or maybe have him...taken care of?

He never returns to Earth, he dies in the space shuttle before they even made it to Titan. You weren't paying attention ;)

Hopefully that was a joke. It was Jerome that died at the end

He does return to Earth, where Jude Law made (somehow) several lifetimes of piss and blood for him so he can keep up the charade for a longer time still. He doesn't die. Didn't you see the nail drop at the end of the credits? ;)

No, before he took off the doctor rigged the machine to have Vincent's blood type scan as Jerome's. I like to think that the doctor was somehow able to change the records in the database, because it was pointless to rig the test just for Vincent to leave. Once Vincent returns, his dream/goal has been met, he wouldn't need Jerome anymore, but Jerome made sure that "he" was always available for him.

Vincent isn't going to return to Earth; he dies in space. He mentions that this flight feels like "going home".

To make his point universal, one would hope that Vincent would out his endeavour to the world. If he keeps up the charade forever, he'd only be serving himself. When he returned, he should go public, which would topple the idea that invalids can't do the same things..

Actually the nay-sayers would say what the mission director told the detective...that Vincent's potential wasn't accurately measured. In reference to when the detective asks if someone could outperform their potential.

He achieved his lifelong goal of going to space. He made a lot of sacrifices along the way. I don't think he would care about going to jail after being up there in space.
