Question to ALL about the DVD

I live in America, and bought the 2-disc special edition.

I'm a little confused on some of the features: There is an "English Audio track" and a "UK Audio Track" (both in dolby digital). In addition, there are subtitles in "English" and "UK."

So far I can't tell the difference, am I missing something?

Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things: Jack and sh*t and Jack left town

In the trivia it says that when it came out American audiences had leaflets explaining some of the slang. So the UK Audio Track will probably be the original and the Emglish Audio Track will probably be one with the slang translated for American audiences. But I'm just guessing.

If you read some of the other threads about the US version being shown on UK TV you will see some of the differences in the audio tracks.

As far as the subtitles, that was interesting. I watched it with the original UK version and put on the US subtitles first, but, at the start of the movie I saw something that had a different word that what was said, so I switched to the UK subtitles. It was the scene where they saw the band playing for the first time and Dave, I think said that there was a "work band," I believe was the phrase he used, and the US subtitles changed it to "factory band."

I stuck with the UK subtitles after that, I would much rather have the authentic words, even if I did not know 100% of what was meant, I could generally figure it out.
