Anyone else thought the ending was too sudden?
At least I did. I was expecting to see if Nathan's mom could let him visit his father and to see what happened to the other guys, but the film ended too sudden.

I thought it was perfect, also. So much of this movie's humor is visually based that it's poignant the last shot is a throwing of the hats.
shareI thought the ending was at just the right point. I'm afraid I don't really want to know what happens in the weeks and months ahead; although the one jot a job and said he'd help the others as he could, I imagine for the most part they go back to being sad and broke.

Please put some dashes above your sig line so I won't think it's part of your dumb post.
No, loved the original ending. For me the movie always had to end with them stripping, that was the movie's payoff.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
the ending was great but it left me wanting for more, lol
shareThey did what they set out to do so you assume that everything else fell into place.
shareI'm not talking about another scene.I meant frontal nudity. It's unnecessary but it would be nice to be as lucky as the 400 extras. Anyway, I agree that the movie should end with the stripping scene. When I watched it for the first time, the ending left me hanging with that good feeling. It makes me want to watch the movie countless times until the TV heats too much that I can cook on it.
shareGerald got a job and said he'd see what he could do for the guys and when Gaz's ex came to the show and brought the boy with her I figured she had changed her ways.
shareI remember reading a review that said that the movie had to end the way it did. No that you could not have had that scene end the same way, and then cut to another scene showing Gaz giving the money to his son's mother or something like that, that would have been fine, although not as satisfying. But the stripping scene had to end like that. Because if they all threw their hats and the scene continued, what would have happened next?
Would they have all run into the dressing room embarrassed? Would screaming women have chased them? You can't gracefully continue the scene. It was all choreographed so perfectly, with all the dance moves, the removing of the jock straps and the tossing of the hats. But how do you gracefully proceed next?
It was the perfect and only way to end it.
yes, the fact that she came to the show indicated the resolution to that particular issue, especially since she came without Barry *and* appeared to be having a good time. i didn't need another scene having it all laid out for me.
shareI love this film, but I thought that what appeared to be almost an 'instant forgiveness' or at least happy acceptance at the end (Gaz/wife) was a bit rushed, considering how their relationship had deteriorated so badly up to that point.
Smacked to me a bit of the Hollywood forced happy endings that so many complain about ~
