an original premise that has prolly turned sour in a forced comedy

I haven't seen this.

I keep hearing all male strippers performing for women are homosexuals, plain and simple.

This film seems to take an otherwise new largely unadressed topic and turn it into a cheap heterosexual comedy. Does it?

It's a comedy-drama about a group of redundant Sheffield steel workers who try to find a new way of making money. They're too young to retire and too old to retrain, so they look for something different.

Don't care if you're trolling, it's a good film, lost out to Titanic for Best Picture.

Titanic's hardly the Best Picture in my book.

Yes but like The Full Monty it was nominated.

Have a look. Think Magic Mike but set in Yorkshire with steel workers who've been laid off. What's not to like?

You say that like it would've won, if not for Titanic. The truth is, L.A. Confidential (won Best Adapted Screenplay) was most likely runner-up, with Good Will Hunting (won Best Original Screenplay) at #3. As Good As it Gets and The Full Monty were the bottom two in that line-up and had no chance of winning.

I didn't think there was anything cheap about the comedy. Besides, two of the main characters (*SPOILERS!!!aregay*SPOILERS!!!).

I think it's a pretty grand movie all around.

I enjoyed the film (more so as an adult on my own than as a teen watching it with my mum...) but i didnt like the woman peeing scene at the beginning. Its very funny and more relatable like when they are learning how to dance.

Not true, speaking from experience.
