Did they use masks when they played each other like Mission Impossible?
Plus maybe voice overs. When I saw Travolta as Nic Cage, he looked so real. Amazing masks.

shareYou cannot be serious. John Travolta played Sean Archer when his son gets shot, and then he plays Castor Troy when he steals Archer's face and identity. Nicolas Cage plays Castor early on, and Sean Archer when he steals Castor's face and identity. There are no masks involved.

I asked this question because John Woo is also the director of Mission Impossible II where they used such masks, so I thought they used such masks in this movie again.
shareNo, hubcap18 is misinformed. They did indeed use masks for this film.
shareFrom IMDb's trivia section:
Originally, Nicolas Cage turned down the role of Castor Troy, citing a lack of interest in playing a villain. However, once he was told that he would actually be playing the hero for a majority of the film, he quickly signed on.
This means that Nicolas Cage was playing Archer (the hero) when he was wearing Castor's face, it was not John Travolta wearing a mask. The characters are wearing their enemies' faces, but that actors are not. In the early stages of the film, John Travolta is Sean Archer and Nicolas Cage is Castor Troy. Once they switch identities, Cage is Archer with Castor's face, while Travolta is Castor with Archer's face. There are no masks being worn by the actors in this film. Similarly, in Mission Impossible 2, the only time an actor is actually wearing a mask is when the mask is removed onscreen.
Unless you have indisputable proof otherwise, this should put the issue to rest.
