Why would they start cutting hair/grooming during a face transplant?

They were wearing sterile gloves so one would assume they would want a sterile procedure, but they start cutting travoltas hair when his face is in a jar.

LOL When my friend and I saw this in a theater, I yelled out, "Yeah, this is the perfect time for a haircut!!!!"

Fun times.

That's probably why he complains to Tito about his face itching so bad after the surgery. I mean, those stray clipped hairs you find after a haircut itch bad enough normally. Gotta be 10x worse when they're under your transplanted face!

For that matter, Archer had to cut & thin his hair to look like Troy, so how the hell did Troy manage to grow and thicken his hair after putting on Archer's face?

I'd guess the doctor was coerced by the angry, faceless Troy, and told him about the mission and who all was involved. He said he killed everyone who knew, so maybe he rounded up that team of scientists, too  (big maybe) In any case, their lives paled in significance to that of TITO 

Some years after this was made a woman had a face transplant after being savaged by a dog.

The face changed appearance to fit her facial bone structure. FACE OFF IS A FARCE!
