Nicholas Cage best acting

Both John Travolta and Nicholas Cage did a great job, but i feel as though Nicholas Cage was more profound. Every scene he was in, he was a scene stealer. My favorite scene was when Sean becomes Castor and he looks in the mirror. The look on his face was just unbelievable. The horror of becoming his enemy. One of the best acting i have ever scene.

This movie featured both some of Cage's best acting, and some of his best freak outs or as I call them "Cage outs" lmao

I actually watched this movie because at the time I was a Travolta fan but I agree with you about Cage, he was the better Troy and the better Archer.

Cage is more over-the-top, but Travolta actually gave the characters some subtlety. I especially love the scene where Travolta inches closer to Jamie and grabs her cigarettes. No words, just body language. On the other end, I can't stand Cage's squeals when he wakes up from his coma.

Nicholas Cage can play a bad guy really good. :)

Disagree. Thought they were both excellent. Thought Travolta was just as good.

I think they were equally great. Overall, I was a bit more enamored by Travolta's acting because it was in Travolta where we got to see Troy show signs of remorse and vulnerability for killing Archer's son. Also, some of my favorite moments were the early scenes of Travolta acting as Sean Archer. You could really tell from just those few scenes he was still in heartbreak and depressed over his son's murder from years before.
