Just found out that Patrick Cranshaw(Jackson) passed away on Dec. 28, 2005 of natural causes. He was 87 years old, and had a career that spanned 50 years.

shareYeah, according to IMDb, it's in post-production. A movie doesn't always have to be filmed in the same year of it being released. I think for Air Buddies, they're probably editing it now, and producing promotional materials.
I mean, I just saw John Candy's profile and it says he's got a movie coming out this year, even though he's been dead for 12 years. They're taking some audio recordings that he made before died and putting them in this animated movie.
