"A lot" really should be one word to avoid confusion ("Are we talking about property or an amount of something? Or did you mean both? Or did you just type the same thing twice?"). And it probably will be in the not-too-distant future, so you knit-picky "a lot" lovers can just go straight to HELL!! End rant.
