Probably my favorite part of the movie is when Farley is trying to sound out the letters on the sign. It's so funny that he persists, despite his attempts sounding nothing like normal words.

shareFunniest part of that scene (IMHO of course) was that Jonah could read it just fine. Slaves of course were forbidden to learn to read. I also like that when Hunt is trying to read 'Tavern' he makes the exact same sounds as he did trying to read 'Welcome to Snake's Bend'. My brother and I love this movie. Don't know why it wasn't well received. It's stupid funny, but it's still funny.
