they shouldnt have beat Lewis and Clark

that was dumb. they should have not beat them and then walked on and said that they'll beat them at something else, going somewhere else, because it changes history and, it's lame.

Lol doesn't change history at all cause if they didn't go back to Thomas Jefferson first then Lewis and Clark would still be credited as the first adventurers to see it and catalog their adventures and no one could argue. It would be a he said she said type of debate and since Lewis and Clark set off first then people wouldn't believe the team of misfits overtook them in travels.

Yeah, the only reason I watched this was to see how they would end it. I was hoping they would come up with something more original.

I could be wrong, but my interpretation of the ending was that while they did beat them, they never made it back. Maybe I like my humor a little dark, but the ending implying they all died was hilarious to me.

You say that the "changing of history" in this movie is lame. While I haven't watched it in a very long time. It seems like they were implying that they never went back to Thomas Jefferson and just continued to adventure together and having their own fun instead of worrying about going down in the history books. Also the recent movie Inglourious Basterds changed history more so than this one did. And that movie went on to be one fo the most successful of 2009. Just because it changed historical facts doesn't mean it still isn't a good movie.

I agree with Neogirl. My take on the ending is that the history books will still show Lewis & Clark as the first to reach the Pacific, because Edwards & Hunt (& Co. ) decided to keep exploring and never returned East to take credit for being the first. Once it became apparent that E & H weren't returning, L & C simply took credit for being first. For all they knew the other group met some tragic end on the return trip. As far as the fate of the Edwards & Hunt expedition, I like to think they made their way up through Canada, Alaska and successfully crossed the Bering Straight and continued exploring across Asia and maybe years later, finally reached Paris ( Oh, the Food!)!

I thought the ending was great , regardless of historical inaccuracies. They're walking to Europe. That's pretty funny.

I haven't been fu(ked like that since grade school.

Oh my god, you're right! Next thing you'll tell me is that an eagle really isn't able to fly with a 300 plus pound man hanging onto his feet! I watch Chris Farley movies for realism and historical accuracy.

Hey what's up there, young man! I am responding from the future to warn you that there will be a horrible disease that ravages the planet and only you can stop it. In late 2019, travel to Wuhan China and buy up all the bats and pangolin at the local markets. Then dispose of these animals humanely and carry on.
