Very good movie

Remember seeing this on abc a few times when I was little. It's such an enjoyable movie.

Anybody else enjoy this movie?

Yes...good one Jones...And i admire your devotion...
I never believed 2 men could kill a gigantic bear but hey...what the hell do i know

Remember, those were two "white" men. Was it racist to put that in the movie? I think it was kind of pointless and looked racist. ( I think I recall that there was a black dude, maybe Michael from Lost that died early on ? )
Pretty good movie though, but Hopkins was a bit of a know it all. There was a movie in the 70's that was a similar theme called "Ordeal" with Arthur Hill, from Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law. It was pretty good, but only one guy against nature.

Racist ??? They fought a gigantic bear
Youre drunk bro...get to bed

reply

I saw this movie many time and there was no point to having
the guy who gets killed off be black ... especially in Alaska where
the African American population is tiny. Funny how sometimes
the people who protest about racism never see it and do not want
to admit it is there.

By the way, that was not really bad language, but your post
calling me drunk is offensive. I'd bet you are drunk up here trying
to pick a fight. Being a jerk is what gets people on my ignore list.

That made no sense buddy
Tuck in and nighty - night you silly fellow lol
Peace/sweet dreams dude!

You're a troll. IGNORED

reply

Fine...ignore the truth bro...

I was under the impression that Harold Perrineau's character wasn't even a native Alaskan, but you raise an interesting point. Is the bear racist? Perhaps he was frightened of dark-skinned people on a primal level, and so he sought to destroy him and anyone with whom he associated. Have another beer and think about it.

Great movie, I had the DVD back when I owned DVDs. Not a very good DVD though, low resolution and fidelity.
