Is it just me or am I the only one that thinks it deserves way higher? I love this movie. There really is nothing bad about it. Superb performances by Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin. Story was written by David Mamet who is extremely well known for his movie screenplays and stage pieces such as, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Untouchables, and Hannibal. The story and scenery are amazing. What is it about this movie that people dislike!?!?

It gets a 9 from me, but 6.7 is a decent average on IMDb. Remember that films are in the Top 250 with averages of only 8.0, and until very recently, even 7.9s were in the Top 250.

I expected at least 8

I guess this forum is now swarming with teenagers with no sense of artwork, who just wanna watch brainless superhero movies

Yeah I enjoyed this movie. That was Bart the bear!! I loved him. I wasn't as scared watching it the second time. It was very good.

Ya, I love this movie also. Probably have seen it ten times now and never get bored with it. I think rating is low because people have a hard time believing the bear could or would hunt humans so aggressively. But I had no problem with it.

Movies with a lot of dialogue tend to get a lower IMDB rating than you might expect. As do movies with few explosions and shots. I think there was what, one explosion and no gunshots in The Edge?
