doesn't make sense!

At the end everything fell apart. Why would pitt's lady friend sell him out to some cop?? He has always had the law after him and has killed dozens of people. But , when one cop explains he killed a cop and has fbi on him, she immidiatly sells him out " so he can live". Of course he wont live!! He would get the death penalty , or be killed because he wouldn't surrender! Also how can he take out all the guys during the little exchange, but cant waste harrison ford .... and he had the advantage of surprise! I liked Ford's character, but come on, how does him tapping his foot on wood make him realize there must be a compartment. I might believe it if the panel was hanging off, but he really had to rip at the thing. These things always piss me off, they throw away realism so the "good" guy can win...

She was far more stupid than the audience. Her actions in that scene do not make any sense in the context of what we know of her and Pitt's character.

She knows he's going to die one way or the other. The only reason she helps O'Meara is because with him at least Frankie may have a chance of staying alive.

I agree with Oldsalt's answer--she gave him up hoping he would at least survive the arrest.

As for how Frankie can take out 6 bad guys and not O'Meara is that with O'Meara he hesitated. There was no compunction in taking out Billy and his thugs; but he didn't want to shoot O'Meara, giving O'Meara the chance to fire.

When he tapped his foot he heard the echo. That wasn't the unrealistic part. The Unrealistic part is that he didn't already know that landing was hollow.
