Enjoy this film?
From the comments ive read it seems like not many people enjoyed this film at all. I was never going to be a top film but i thought it was pretty entertaining. Anyone else like it for all?

shareLiked it a lot. Thought Pitt was great.
shareAfter repeated viewings. I like it the more I see it.
shareAs an Irish lass, I liked the movie and thought the acting was pretty solid. Brad's accent was brill!! and I am a huge Harrison fan, so when his wife was called Sheila, I was so happy 'cos that's my name too!! :) yes, I am easily made happy!! But it's just that you never hear of my name bein' used in movies too often.....do people associate it with bein' an Irish name I wonder? ('Cos it is!!) NEwhoo, back to the point, I really liked the film!
shareToo many people get analitical about movies now-a-days and have to break everything in the film down. It is no oscar winning film and doesn't have the deepest of all story lines. Its not as incredibly acurate as some would want it to be, but does that matter? As long as it entertains its served its purpose, when it does more than just that, you know it is great. I was entertained, a pop corn flick, yes, but entertaining none the less.

You never hear the name 'Sheila'? Sure you do!
mmmmmmmm, KYLES MOM'S A BITCH, SHE'S A BIG FAT BITCH, SHE'S THE BIGGEST BITCH IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

good movie especially the scenes on the streets with ruben blades
shareI saw this movie when I was younger, around the time when it came out on tape, and I really liked it then and I still like it now. Whether the political situation is wholly accurate or not doesn't matter to me. I really doubt they were out to make a political movie, it's just a drama/thriller, and in that it succeeded. I was really drawn in by the idea that the heartless "terrorist" was taken in by this family, and really grew to love them. Something about that bit of redemption I really enjoyed, and I thought the movie was good. I don't want to delve into the political or social themes of this film, although they're there, I just want to enjoy it for what it is: a solid drama that is there to entertain me.
I really don't feel it deserves a 5.7 on IMDb, but ah well what are you gonna do.
I never said thank you.share
And you'll never have to.
Yes i liked it and thought it was a good movie
shareGood action film - my favorite type. Good New York scenes - I lived there for 10 years. Harrison Ford played himself, IMHO and Brad Pitt showed his considerable range. I watch it whenever it's on and have rented it several times thought I have not (yet) purchased a copy.
Scotland Forever
I actually think the movie is very underrated. No Oscar potential but still a very good movie. Personally I thought Ford stole the movie from Pitt but thats my opinion. You know there had to be some serious acting competition between them.
Heath Ledger born a great star and died a legend.
yeah I personally liked this movie I think one of the reasons people (at least in america) is like Pitt says its an Irish story and not an American one. ie no happy ending.
But after seeing this Snatch and Fight Club I have to say that Pitt is prolly one of the most talented actors out there.
It glamourised terrosits
painted the wrong picture about the situation in ireland
it was to inaquarate
too chessy in new york-- arrggg
its a rubbish and pitt wanted to pull soo badly because it was such a mess- but they tried slapping a 60m fime on him so he couldnt
5.7 is to high for this trash- but saw it on blue ray - i like blue ray!

yeah right-- whatever
even pitt said is was totally wrong!!
the problem is is that the fight was a religious batle and the brits were mainly there to promote peace
NI never wanted to become ireland and if there did the brits would have given it back to them- but there are a seperate entity, which still wants the benefits that britain give them- just like scotland and obvioulsy wales
obviously my point is not ditactrating the historical wrongs of britain towards ireland from before!
anyway thanks to blair/bush we have peace and ira are peacefull once again- thats all that matters
I really like the movie.
sharei loved it!
shareI think it's a great film. These ones who disliked it, for either political reasons or just sheer boredom, need to get over themselves.
... and I'm half-Irish btw.
