the party @ the o'meara's place = what a fire hazard!

all those people in that tiny place. the smoking. the drinking. the dancing. the people hanging out on the stairs. did the o'meara's pay off someone in the fire dept. to keep things 'running smoothly' so to speak.

It was a party at a private residence, fire department isn't going to show up unless there is a fire, the cops might show up if someone else complains, but since he's a cop, they wouldn't do anything unless a fight broke out.

the fire department should be notified.
Why? As the other poster said it was a private residence what could the fire marshal do? There's no regulation stating you can't bring people into your home even if they are smoking (which I didn't notice anybody doing).

An old thread but here goes. There is no reason for the fire department to be notified. Good grief! We have gone from doing as you please so long as you aren't hurting someone to having to ask permission to do anything.

Welcome to the nanny police state. Don't forget to pay your oxygen taxes.
