Trailer park people
Just saw the film. Close to the beginning they're dancing like absolute trash in the bar celebrating getting an absolute guilty pedophile off. Then when another ''big'' pay cheque is proposed to Kevin to come to New York City to pick a jury (for a presumably very guilty client, though the film never gives exact details) he jumps at the chance.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for these people? just because the wife see's a scary demon face in the clothing store looking at her I'm not convinced the demons were after them - at least not until they both went beyond redemption. The demons and ''the devil'' seemed to do very little in wrecking both of their lives if you watch the film carefully. Both characters, husband and wife, seemed to go down on their own. Neither one started off as decent people, they came across as trailer park opportunists.
And in terms of the rape, it was in a sense justifiable. Okay, not really. But look at the time in the film it occurred - when Kevin made the worst choice to defend a triple homicide client in court (and he won). That's when the sh*t really hit the fan and his wife was the one that was chosen for the punishment. I also disagree she suicided out of ''insanity'' - watch closely, she did it out of guilt. She acknowledged that they were living off of and enjoying ''blood money''.
