If the word "deep" is in the title, you're pretty much guaranteed the film will stink.

Blow_Hard_5: if Deep Rising were more popular and widely seen, then you'd think it as crap a movie as I do. It seems that the fanboys here who praise this film do so because they think they're attuned to a special gem of a movie that eluded most of the rest of the masses.

Maybe Deep Star Six, but I enjoyed the other 3.

Deep Rising certainly wasnt a masterpiece, but there are way worse movies (like the other three mentioned). To be honest, I always confuse it with that movie with Jamie Lee Curtis and the robot-monster - Virus was it?
Also, Deep Impact sucked it hard all day long; which could have only been fixed with Téa Leoni doing the same.
