I don't know if this has been discussed to death or not at all, but it seemed pretty obvious to me that Mulligan and T Ray were lovers. They exchanged some looks, generally acted overly homoerotic (not that all the mercenaries didn't) and Mulligan was pretty broken up when T Ray bought it.
